πŸ”΄ *DAY 10 – NOT MOCKERS

Mockery or scornfulness appears quite harmless on the surface but the curse levelled against it shows the weight God places on such attitudes. Check out the following scriptures: *Psalm 1:1* Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, *nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.* In other words, cursed is the scorner/ mocker/ scoffer! *Proverbs 30:17* The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. It seems mockery is totally not accepted in any instance with God. If by God’s grace our children are growing up in privilege, let us teach them not to scorn or mock at others less privileged than them. By so doing we will be saving them from the curse on scorners. πŸ™πŸΎ Dear Father God, we pray for compassionate hearts of our children. May they not develop proud hearts. May we not model pride and scorn ourselves as we relate to others. A humble, thoughtful, blessed child is who we seek to nurture. Please help us! In Jesus Name, Amen.

πŸ”΄ DAY 9 – PRESERVED FROM CORRUPTION

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, *having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.* *Corruption* is defined as the process by which something changes from its original state to one regarded as erroneous or debased. *Lust* is a strong craving or yearning. The Bible is telling us that our cravings can lead us into becoming debased. Meaning the things we yearn for, desire or crave can lead us to become lower grades of who we were intended to be. Same applies to our children. If their desires are not for God, their desires can lead them into becoming inferior versions of their God-destined selves. We pray that: Our offspring will be preserved from the subtle & at times blatant corruption permeating society, it’s values and standards. That their desires will be for God first, and for the interests of His Kingdom and His people. We pray for wisdom as parents to sift through what is suitable for their consumption and what is not. And also to lead them towards Godly desires above all else. When we are not there to be guides, May the Lord guide them aright. In Jesus Name ! Amen.

πŸ”΄ DAY 8 – CHRIST REVEALED TO THEM

Ephesians 1:18 “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may *know* what is the hope of his (Jesus’) calling, and what the riches of the glory of his (Jesus’) inheritance in the saints,” Nothing firms up our faith like a personal revelation of who Christ Jesus is and what He has done for us. There’s no better foundation upon which to build your child’s esteem and spiritual identity. Our Prayer is: That Christ will be revealed to my child. That his/ her faith will be solidly built on personal conviction. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

πŸ”΄ DAY 7 – RECEPTIVE TO COUNSEL

Proverbs 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, *shall suddenly be destroyed*, *and that without remedy.* It to a blessing to have counsellors. And an added blessing to be humble to counsel coming from advisors. Self destruction is the end of disobedient, rebellious children. Unfortunately, the Bible foretells many of such attitudes in our times. Rise up and pray to remove the spirit of stubbornness and rebellion from the hearts of your children. Be strong and do not condone even the smallest traces of this destructive spirit. Pray as follows: Father I pray that your spirit of counsel will reign in the heart of my child. May his/her heart remain malleable, receptive and responsive to counsel, instruction, and correction. In Jesus Name I’ve prayed. Amen!

πŸ”΄ DAY 6- GROW IN MIGHT

Isaiah 11:2

And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,… the spirit of counsel and *might*;

John 1:12
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God…”

When we read about Jesus, we get a picture of a super human who completely dominated the flesh & its temptations, the spirit realm, poverty, sickness, demons and even death. Nothing prevailed against Jesus, absolutely nothing!

Might is strength, dominion, power for continual victory over whatever the enemy throws our way.

That is why those who believe in Jesus are promised “power to become sons of God”.

Today as we meditate on this and the scriptures accompanying, let us pray for the spirit of might for your children.

Prayer:

Lord I receive the promise of might for my children today. May they go from strength to strength. May they walk in dominion over both spiritual and physical realms.
I see them being mighty in every sphere of life.

Amen!

πŸ”΄ DAY 5- GROW IN THE FEAR OF GOD

Perhaps our greatest fear as parents is our children departing from the good values we teach them. This is why children fearing the Lord is important. The fear of God ensured that Joseph kept himself pure in a pagan culture very far from parental scrutiny. What our children need is a healthy dose of Godly fear. Pray for them as follows : Dear Lord, I want my children to love and reverence You above all authority. Father, instill in their hearts a deep seated love and reverence for You, Your Word and Your Ways. May their heart’s not become hardened to their own hurt. When I am not physically present, May their reverence for You be their guiding light. Thank you for answering. In Jesus Name I’ve prayed. Amen.

πŸ”΄ *DAY 4- GROW IN WISDOM

Wisdom is an encompassing virtue. it’s affect every facet of life.

The Bible says wisdom leads to long life, riches, honour (Proverbs 3:16).

The Bible says God founded the earth by wisdom (Proverbs 3:19)

The Bible admonishes that in all our getting, we get wisdom.

Wisdom is so crucial and our children will reign if they are full of it.

Ask today that they will be endued with wisdom from above.

Prayer:

Father Lord, thank you for the gift of wisdom that you have freely promised to those who ask for it.

I pray for your wisdom for my child. Not the wisdom of this world which is failing and has failed in time past. But wisdom from above which is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. Such wisdom which was upon Christ is what I plead for your child. Let it fill her and cause her to walk in glory.

In Jesus Name I have prayed.

Amen!

DAY 3 – FAVOUR WITH GOD & MAN

*Luke 2:52*

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Let us not belittle how essential favour is.

2 people with the same qualifications can turn out very different depending on favour.

This blessing of favour was upon the little Lord Jesus Himself up till his adulthood…

How great then is our need to pray for favour for our children.

Pray as follows:

Dear Lord, I ask that (name of child) will grow in favour with You and also with man. Divinely arrange for her to encounter favorable opportunities. May she not lack breakthroughs, and open doors in Jesus Name!
